The Fox Queen is Tsatassaya White, Tamara McCarthy and Dave Mott.

Progressive Theatre Collective, The Fox Queen (FQ) was formed during the early days of Covid 19, due to a strong desire to connect, inquire, dismantle, (re)align artistic practices, and forge new decolonized ways of theatre making and creation. FQ is guided by a set of shared Values: Love. Truth. Listening. Survival. Joy. Humour. Communication. Listening. Collaboration. Our values lead and define us.

FQ exists in the present moment, self reflecting and focusing on the heartbeats around us; we are flexible, continually responding to the evolving needs of the people on our teams and the communities with whom we engage.

We acknowledge that our work takes place on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations of the Lower Mainland and the Snaw-Naw-As, Snuneymuxw, and Qualicum peoples of Vancouver Island. We live across the Salish Sea from each other on the Snuneymuxw (Nanaimo) Nation [Tsatassaya and Tamara], and territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations of the Lower Mainland [Dave]. Our geographical locations and, at times, isolation from one another inform The Fox Queen’s impulses and work.

We are committed to transforming practice while working towards decolonization and reconciliation.
