Daniel Puglas
Daniel Puglas is a Nanaimo director, producer, actor, and playwright. He trained in the Vancouver Island University Theatre Department and at the Gulf Islands Film and Television School, and has self-produced numerous of his plays and screenplays, including "Voices of Love," "Toxic Choices," and "The Book of Lies." He appeared as an actor in the Western Edge Theatre premiere of Miles Hayes’ "Public Intoxication" and his play "Mourning in Room 243" was among the selections in the company’s recent Mid-Island Playwrights Initiative. It will be presented in a staged reading as part of Western Edge’s 2021 online New Waves Festival. Dan is also a longstanding participant in the Reconciliation Playwriting Circle in Nanaimo. As an Artistic Associate at Western Edge, he looks forward to many new opportunities for artistic collaboration and inspiration.
