Michelle Lieffertz

Michelle is a seasoned actor, educator, dialect coach, and award-winning costume and production designer.  Holding an MFA earned in London, England, she has appeared in theatres and worked on film/television projects on both sides of the Atlantic, in both performative and design roles. Living her dream, Michelle currently focuses most of her time as an Historical Interpreter in Barkerville BC, which is actively pursuing the re-framing of the Colonial narrative of historical events previously expressed. Michelle is excited at the prospect of continuing this decolonization work, and being part of a project which reaches towards Reconciliation with the Original Peoples. Acknowledging and ever grateful to the Stsu'minus, Dënéndeh, Hul'qumi'num, Lheidli T'enneh and Secwépemc Peoples, on whose traditional lands she lives, works, and plays.
