Core Artist: Jennifer Annaïs Pighin

Jennifer Annaïs Pighin is an artist, educator, and Lheidli T’enneh Member with Wet’suwet’en, French, and Italian ancestry. Gitumden - Aniskasi (Bear/Wolf Clan-House that lies blocking the trail). She holds a BA in Visual Arts from Emily Carr, a Bachelor of Education - Specialization in Art from UBC, and a Masters in First Nations Studies from UNBC. Jennifer also serves as a founding board member and chair of the Omineca Artist Run Centre Society and a founding board member of the Northern Indigenous Arts Council in Prince George, BC. As a leader within her community and within the Khast’an Drummers she has a passion for language, culture and community connectivity. Her artwork is often collaborative in nature using a wide range of media including painting, drawing, digital design, mosaic, traditional arts, public installations, logo and tattoo design and much more. Jennifer aspires to continually learn from those she comes into contact with and perseveres to share her acquired knowledge with others.
